Attendance Policy

Every business will have their own policy regarding appointment booking and attendance expectations. We ask that in choosing to be a client of our service you agree to our attendance policy.

We require 48-hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session without incurring a fee.

Notice received between 24-48 hour's of your scheduled appointment will incur a flat $50 fee.
Notice received less than 24-hours' of your scheduled appointment or if you miss your appointment will incur the full session fee.

This policy was developed with the awareness that when appointments are booked, both the clinician and the client will make that time available for therapy.

Your clinician will spend time and resources preparing for your session, so frequent cancellations and rescheduling of appointments can have a profound impact.

A late cancelled appointment or non-attendance is a loss to three people:

  1. the client who is delaying their therapy process

  2. another client who has been on the waiting list

  3. the clinician who spent time preparing for the session

No rebates are claimable for late cancellation or missed appointment fees.

More about referrals and rebates

More about referrals and rebates

You do not need a referral to book with us, although you will only be able to claim rebates from Medicare if you see your doctor for a referral.

If you are planning to obtain a referral, we accept referrals under a Mental Health Care Plan.

Your GP or psychiatrist will determine if you are eligible for referral under a Mental Health Care Plan.

Under the Better Access initiative, Medicare will provide rebates for up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions per calendar year.

If you have claimed rebates for sessions with other allied health professionals during the calendar year (e.g. psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists), those rebate claims will count toward your maximum number of rebates claimable within the calendar year.  Please let us know how many you have claimed already, so that we can make note on our records.

Rebates are only claimable after the full session fee is paid.

Rebates cannot be claimed for missed sessions or late cancellations.

More information about the Australian Government Better Access Initiative and referral process can be found on the Services Australia Fact Sheets linked below.
