About Us
Glow DBT is part of The Glow Centre, a private allied health practice in Kenmore, in Brisbane’s western suburbs. The Glow Centre was originally established in 2013 as Melissa Kent Psychology, by clinical psychologist Melissa Kent in Melbourne, Victoria. Melissa has been practising DBT since 2003 and was the first clinician in Australia to be trained in DBT PE at Behavioral Tech/The Linehan Institute. The practice relocated to Brisbane in 2016 and has established a reputation for excellence in building relationships with clients and other services in the community, and achieving excellent outcomes for its clients.

Glow DBT was established in 2018 to provide DBT skills training as an alternative to public and private health programs. We have steadily grown since then from a small team of highly trained DBT clinicians providing one DBT skills training group per week, to a larger team of highly trained DBT clinicians providing a comprehensive DBT program, DBT skills training groups plus individual therapy, individual DBT-informed therapy, and DBT consultation, training and supervision.
Our DBT program strictly follows the protocols and curriculum designed by Dr Marsha Linehan, and we have embedded measures of adherence and assessing progress so as to ensure we are delivering adherent, effective services.
